hah. no definitely knew that. i've tried many different bulbs and even two different flashes, each camera can only flash once. i feel like it's shorting out some component inside the face of the camera, (the circuit that attaches the shutter to the flash output or something). Thanks for the idea, though. maybe i'm just cursed.

anybody ever experience any issues with their model #268 flash gun and 100 series cameras? I've got 3 packfilms that i generally use (a mod. 100, 250 and 330), all adapted to 3AAA batteries and each only fired the flash once, then never again. no amount of experimentation of cajoling can get the flash to fire a second time. I've tried changing all sorts of batteries and bulbs, any ideas?

just adapted my 250 battery to a cheap flashlight battery carriage- (3)AAA's and electrical tape with no permanent modifications. add a lil fuji FP100c and she works like a dream. can't believe this thing predates the SX-70 cameras- beautiful, deep, colorful exposures.

just picked up a sx-70 SONAR onestep off ebay and am super-impressed with the quality and detail attainable through it's fine-ass glass lens; even with expired film.
probably be posting some pics of the camera and results on the blog tomorrow. (wearehistory.net)
also got another black pronto coming in the mail pretty soon.

these are exciting times.
