Hello Paris polanoiders,

I might be going to Paris for Paris Photo and show my work for a bunch of reviewers.
Does anybody have some ideas for a decent, cheap, central place (might be difficult to meet all three of my demands ;-) for a few days stay in Paris?
Would also be fun to meet up with people from the Pariscrew when staying there!

Would be much obliged for any tips.

/Peter

To Swedish polanoiders (or anyone who happens to be close by):

I´m showing my Penumbra series in Gothenburg at the Photo Fair this weekend.
Come by if you´re in the neighbourhood.

For those who have such inclinations: check my website at www.petere.se if you feel like it. For the most part it´s commercial work, but of course i have my dear polas there too...

G´night

@Jay
As i said: none offence taken (at all!).
And you are surely right about that all ´noiders probably do not have darkroom experience and those kind of references i used.

Thanks for the answer and the clarification.

P.S. You´re right about the sharpening also...

@Jay

Just want to ask you a question about what you consider to be "post production work and digital editing"?
My colour polas are scanned to be as true to the original as possible. As the original pola is what i first fell in love with when i took it, i try to do as little digital altering as possible.
When it comes to the black&white stuff i treat them as i´ve treated all my negatives - wether it is in the traditional darkroom or in digital postproduction - with local corrections of various kinds (burning, dodging, contrast etc). The thing that the digital "darkroom" has added is that it is easier to have control over the whole process (not meaning that that always is purely a good thing) than it was back in the darkroom days...

I just wonder how you think that this distinguishes myself from other polanoiders?

And for the record: I take no offense at all of your entrie, but it makes me curious about what you percieve to be more "digital" than others...

All the best
/Peter
