Oh just another everyday outpouring of Polanoid poison, Mike.
I remember a time when witch hunts and bloody crusades had no place on this site. Or am I imagining that? Perhaps I only dreamed it after all.

Its a shame that the camera issue is causing so much division when it was meant to bring hope to us all.
2 things, its only as good as the person using it, and the most important bit, the film, will work in our SX-70. Yes, the camera looks cheap tacky and at 100.00 is a piss take, but it does contribute massively to keeping our dream alive.
Now cheer up you ugly miserable cat vomit punks.
(Except for Jay who is revered as the inventor of 'The Jay Method', (which has nothing to do with having a nose stuck up the correct arsehole)

@rodeo : I just looooove this camera, and just can't stand the idea that it could be broken. So I got the others just in case. Seriously, this camera is not very solid, I've already broken two, so... but I'm dreaming of a 690... very hard to find, even harder at a reasonable price.
@ jay : ah ah ah ah ah !
@ VF : not too many PC users to be on your side... Surrender while it's still possible !

re: the 'new' Polaroid 1000 cameras. Oh, I don't know. If true, I think they look kind of cool. I'm not sure what sort of economies the new owners of Polaroid are working with. There is no point spending a lot of money on a redesigned SX-70 or whatever it is you were all hoping for if the production (not to mention R&D costs) will bankrupt the company before it hits the shelves is there? Or am I simply being too pragmatic for all you beautiful dreamers?
@ VF - I don't believe Steve Jobs uses a PC for his home computer. As someone who used a PC for 6 years then switched to a Mac, I can only honestly say - I am NEVER going back (except when forced to use Windoze at work)

*and Happy 2010 to you too LiA!
